This is your tomb, O Iyad,
O you whose healing is a cure for the sick.
For you have indeed quenched its burning thirst,
When it gathered your watering pools.
Showers poured down upon it, for it held
From you the gardens and the meadows,
And the sea, a sea of profound knowledge
And bounties, with waters easy to draw—
Gentle, constant rains soaking its soil, flowing from
The pleasure of a Lord who is pleased with you.
