Seas of generosity are attributed to you, O Abu Ya'za,

So how magnificent is what is ascribed and attributed to you.

I spoke, as my beloved rose up to reprimand me

For traveling: 'Indeed, journeying can drive away affliction.'

Let me endure the journey, so I may attain my desires,

In a place where I shall lack neither wealth nor glory.

To a sea of bounty whose waters are never stagnant,

Whose taste is not bitter, and whose lord is no miser.

To where the destination of hopes is sweetly fragrant,

Where generosity resides, and where Abu Ya'za dwells.

A valiant hero who, when called upon by one whose chest is constricted

By the calamities of time, is swift in his relief.

He rescues him from the severe hardships of his era,

And serves as a sanctuary for him against every disaster.

How many dark-roped snares has he severed,

Piercing through to hopes, after they had caused choking distress.

O eminent peak, whose guest is never wronged,

And who never sees any adversity from his days.

We spurred the mounts of determination toward your sanctuary,

Cleaving through valleys with them, and ascending heights.

And we traversed the desolate desert expanses to your abode,

Hoping we might be rewarded from the overflow of your surging sea.

So fulfill the desires of the one who sought your abode, saying:

'Seas of generosity are attributed to you, O Abu Ya'za.'
