I offer my life for a fawn who shuns our union,
Though I can never forget my love for him;
A radiant youth whose smile reveals pearls,
Who has no equal in his splendor:
Like the willow branch, the gazelle, and the crescent moon,
In his stature, his glance, and his beauty.
He spoke, thus igniting within my heart
A fire whose blazing flame roasts my very core,
When I said, "Grant me union, beloved of my heart,"
"O seeker of peaches in the dark of night!"
