1. أَحْرُفٌ أرْبَعٌ شَفَتْ دَاءَ صَدْرِي

    وَأَنَارَتْ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّيَ فِكْرِي

    Four letters have healed the affliction of my chest,

    And illuminated, by the leave of my Lord, my mind,

  2. وَهْيَ مِيمُ الْمُنَى فَحَاءُ حَيَاةٍ

    ثُمَّ مِيمُ الْمَعَاذِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَرِّ

    They are the Meem of hopes, then the Haa of life,

    Then the Meem of refuge from every evil,

  3. ثُمَّ دَالُ الدُّنُوِّ مِنْ كُلِّ يُمْنٍ

    وَنَجَاحٍ وَيُسْرَةٍ بَعْدَ عُسْرِ

    Then the Daal of drawing near to every blessing,

    And success, and ease after hardship.
