1. وَادِي النَّفِيسِ نَفِيسٌ فِيهِ إِينَاسُ

    لِمَنْ عَرَاهُ لِبَيْنِ الأَهْلِ وَسْوَاسُ

    The valley of Nafis is precious, holding solace within

    For whoever is afflicted by the anxious grief of parting from kin,

  2. أَهْدَتْ لَنَا نَسَمَاتُ الرِّيحِ لَمَّا هَفَتْ

    بِهِ الذِي أَوْدَعَتْ أَنْفَاسَهَا فَاسُ

    The gentle breezes of the wind, as they wafted, gifted us

    With the very breaths that the city of Fez had entrusted to them,

  3. حَيْثُ الطُّيُورُعَلَى الأَدْوَاحِ صَادِحَةٌ

    وَالنَّهْرُ مُطَّرِدٌ وَالرَّوْضُ مَيَّاسُ

    Where the birds upon the sprawling branches sing aloud,

    And the river flows steadily, while the meadow gracefully sways.
