Four letters have taken away my affliction,
And severed the fuel of my burning embers.
With the 'Meem', every living thing perished from my longing,
And with the 'Haa', I carried my heavy burden with ease.
And with the 'Meem', I reclaimed what had fled from me,
Of elusive desires, so glad tidings for my joy.
And with the 'Daal', I drew my bucket full,
From the pure springs of generosity, with the ropes of victory.
