With Taghzout we invaded the grapes,
In Taghzout, we waged a raid upon the grapes,
Leaving no ripe cluster for gleaners,
And spared not a single sweet, ripe fruit among them,
But stretching our hands to its boughs,
Without reaching out a means to gather it;
You would think its leaves the star Suhayl,
Its leaves you would mistake for deepest darkness,
As it shone through its shadowy leaves.
While the fruit gleams within their shadows like shooting stars.
