1. أَبَى الْقَصْرُ إِلاَّ أَنْ يَحُوزَ الْعُلاَ قَسْراً

    وَأَنْ يَبْنِيَ الْمَجْدَ التَّلِيدَ بِهِ قَصْرَا

    The palace refused to do anything but acquire the heights by force

    And build lasting glory as its castle

  2. فَإِنْ فَاتَهُ الْمَاءُ الْمُفَجَّرُ مِنْ صَفَا

    فَفِيهِ مِيَاهُ الْفَضْلِ قَدْ فُجِّرَتْ بَحْرَا

    If the gushing waters missed it

    Then in it are the waters of merit that have been unleashed as a sea
