Jesus, pride of the exalted, brought dew from Jesus
The noble white camels of glory carried the generosity of Isa,
The sea of Algeria continued to present offerings
The sea of Algiers, continually sending forth these noble beasts.
It landed in Fez at the abode of a man
They set down their saddles in Fez at the abode of a man
Who sang praises and sanctifications to it
Who offered them profound glorification and reverence as hospitality.
To return it to the sanctuary of Algeria renewed
So that he might return them to the sanctuary of Algiers heavily laden,
To end the treasures among the glories of Jesus
Conveying the treasures of the glorious deeds of Isa.
The noble Jesus son of the noble, for him
Isa the Sharif, son of the Sharif, the one who possesses
A glory that melts away the rays of Satan
A glory whose radiant beams would melt the devil himself.
The easts of his generosity reached Algeria
The sunrises of his generosity in Algiers have reached
To occidents, home of right guidance, Idris
The western horizons, the abode of Idris's guidance.
He gifted a stranger in the waves of the west
He bestowed gifts upon an exile in the desolate west,
In an orient of his virtue, companionship
Providing comforting solace in the sunrise of his grace.
So it came and there was, with a visit, from desolation
Thus he became, after dwelling in a thicket of loneliness,
In a harbor from intimacy, protected
Sheltered within a guarded haven of true companionship.
How good a man who connected a man who is no man
What an excellent man, reaching out to a man whom no one else
Unless he says to him truly, vile
Would speak of, except to rightfully say, 'How wretched!'
He connected the son of Zakur, over the expanse of distance
He bestowed his favors upon Ibn Zakour, despite the vast distance,
With his prayers of kinship, and he was precious
With his gifts of closeness, proving truly precious.
With precious things from his generosity, not counting them
With exquisite treasures of his generosity that never failed
Except that sighing eased him, eased
To completely dispel his deep sorrow with true relief.
May God make your perfection last, protected
May God keep your perfection forever guarded,
And make the secret of your majesty enduring, felt
And perpetuate the essence of your majesty, tangible and felt.
