1. حُزْتَ يَا ابْنَ الْفَخَارِ الْيُوسِي

    كُلَّ فَخْرٍ بِرَقْمِ هَذِي الطُّرُوسِ

    You have excelled, O son of the potter Al-Yousi

    With all pride in this sequence of poetry

  2. دَلَّ إِبْدَاعُهَا عَلَى أَنَّكَ الْمَعْ

    لُولُ نُبْلاً بِمُتْرَعَاتِ الْكُؤُوسِ

    Your creativity indicates that you are

    Noble in the pastures of imagination

  3. وَالسَّلِيلُ الْجَلِيلُ لِلْوَالِدِ الْمَا

    جِدِ شَمْسِ الدُّرُوسِ قُوتِ النُّفُوسِ

    And the majestic descendant of the magnificent father

    The sun of wisdom, the livelihood of souls

  4. لاَ عَدِمْتُمْ مِنْ بِرِّهِ مُذْهِبَ الْبُؤْ

    سِ مُجَلِّي النُّحُوسِ ضَوْءَ الشُّمُوسِ

    You have never lacked in your dutifulness the direction

    That dispels misfortunes and illuminates like the sun

  5. وَسَلاَمٌ مِنَ ابْنِ زَاكُورَ يَحْكِي

    خُلْقَكُمْ إِذْ لاَ عِطْرَ بَعْدَ عَرُوسِ

    And greetings from the son of Zakour describing

    Your morals, for there is no fragrance after the bride
