I knocked with my humility at the door of the mighty one,
I knocked with my humility at the door of the Almighty,
While my soul roared from the bitterness it had endured,
And my soul, from its fierce blazing, let out a seething groan,
And I knew when I came to him,
And I was certain that when I came to Him,
Humbled, I had resorted to an inviolable refuge.
Humbled, I sought refuge in an impregnable sanctuary.
