At Ibn Mas'ud's, souls prospered, made happy
In the presence of Ibn Mas'ud, souls grew pure and blessed,
By loving him, though falsehoods attack him constantly.
And through his love, all vain illusions fell away from them.
He who is nurtured by wisdom's cup will not care
And whoever drinks deeply from the chalice of guidance has no
For ignorant censure, however loud its clamor be.
Retreat from the basins of grace he has attained.
