The jewels of speech have stirred the torment of my soul
The jewels of words have stirred the burning anguish of my pain,
Scattered about or methodically aligned
Between the scattered among them and the finely strung,
God grant no peace to the heart untouched
May God grant no peace to a heart they do not stir, for they have
By what was said in the days of peace
Eclipsed all that was spoken in the days of Dhu Salam.
