لِلَّهِ يَوْمَ شَرِبْنَا فِيهِ كَأْسَ مُنىً

بَيْنَ الْحَدَائِقِ مِنْ أَطْوَادِ اغْصَاوَهْ

For Allah, the day we drank a cup of happiness

To God belongs the day we drank therein the cup of our desires,

Among the gardens, from the bushes of Aghsawah

Amidst the gardens of the mountains of Aghsawah;

غَاضَتْ بُحَيْرَةُ هَمِّي يَوْمَ ذَاكَ كَمَا

غَاضَتْ لِخَلْقِ الرَّسُولِ الْمُصْطَفَى سَاوَهْ

The lake of my worries subsided that day, as

The lake of my sorrow dried up on that day, just as

It subsided for the creation of the chosen Prophet SAW

The lake of Sawah dried up at the birth of the Chosen Messenger.

صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ إِلَهُ الْعَرْشِ مَا عَجَزَتْ

أَهْلُ السَّمَا وَالثَّرَى أَنْ يُدْرِكُوا شَأْوَهْ

The God of the Throne sent him blessings, which

May the God of the Throne send blessings upon him, as long as

The people of the heavens and earth cannot comprehend his glory

The people of heaven and earth remain unable to comprehend his rank.

يُضْحِكُنِي قَوْلُهُمْ أَيٍّهَا وَكَسْرُهُمُ

هَاءَ الْمُؤَنَّثِ مَعْ قَوْلِهِمْ لاَوَهْ

It makes me laugh their calling him, Oh You

It makes me laugh when they say 'Ayyiha' and their breaking of

Adding the feminine "haa" to his name, Laawah

The feminine 'Ha', along with their saying 'Lawah'.

اِتَّقِ اللهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتَ فَإِنَّ ال

لَّهَ رَبِّي مَعَ الذِينَ اتَّقَوْهُ

Fear Allah as much as you can, for Allah

Fear God as much as you are able, for indeed

Is with those who feared Him

God, my Lord, is with those who fear Him.

وَاعْصِ إِبْلِيسَ وَاتَّخِذْهُ عَدُوّاً

إِنَّمَا يُفْلِحُ الذِينَ عَصَوْهُ

And disobey Iblees and take him as an enemy

And disobey Iblis and take him as an enemy,

Only those who disobeyed him will succeed

For only those who disobey him shall prosper.

وَاتْرُكِ النَّفْسَ وَاذْكُرْ رَبَّكَ إِقْبَا

لاً عَلَيْهِ مَعَ الذِينَ أَتَوْهُ

And leave the soul, and remember your Lord, turning

And abandon the self, and remember your Lord, turning

To Him, with those who turned to Him

Towards Him with those who have come to Him.

لِتَرَى فَضْلَهُ الذِي مَا لَهُ حَ

دٌّ عِيَاناً مَعَ الذِينَ رَأَوْهُ

To see His exclusive grace, that has no

So that you may see His grace, which has no

Limit, with those who saw Him

Limit, visually, along with those who have seen it.

وَادْعُهُ ضَارِعاً لَهُ إِنَّ رَبِّي

لَقَرِيبٌ مِنَ الذِينَ دَعَوْهُ

And call on Him pleading, my Lord

And call upon Him, pleading to Him, for indeed my Lord

Is near to those who called on Him

Is close to those who invoke Him.

وَارْتَدِ الدِينَ سَابِغاً وَاشْتَمِلْهُ

إِنَّمَا يَهْتَدِي الذِينَ ارْتَدَوْهُ

And wear the complete religion, and take it on

And wear religion as a flowing garment, and wrap yourself in it,

Only those who wore it will be guided

For only those who wear it are guided.

وَاشْتَرِ الرُّشْدَ بِالضَّلاَلَةِ وَاعْلَمْ

إِنَّمَا يَرْبَحُ الذِينَ اشْتَرَوْهُ

And buy righteousness with misguidance, and know

And purchase guidance in exchange for error, and know

Only those who bought it will profit

That only those who purchase it shall profit.

وَارْتَجِ اللهَ فَضْلَهُ وَاطْلُبَنْهُ

إِنَّمَا يَغْتَنِي الذِينَ ارْتَجَوْهُ

And hope for Allah's grace, and seek it

And hope for God's grace and seek it earnestly,

Only those who hoped for it will be enriched

For only those who hope for it become enriched.

وَاقْتَنِ الصَّبْرَ لِلنَّوَائِبِ وَاعْلَمْ

إِنَّمَا يَقْتَنِِي الذِينَ اقْتَنَوْهُ

And earn patience for adversities, and know

And acquire patience for calamities, and know

Only those who earned it will earn it

For only those who acquire it truly gain.

وَابْتَنِ الأَجْرَ عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ بِالذِّكْ

رِ وَكُنْ مِنْ أَعْلَى الذِينَ ابْتَنَوْهُ

And build reward with your Lord by remembering Him

And build up your reward with your Lord through

And be of the highest of those who built it

Remembrance, and be among the highest of those who have built it.

وَاجْتَنِ الْعِلْمَ مِنْ حَدَائِقِ دَرْسٍ

وَلْتُنَافِسْ أَسْنَى الذِينَ اجْتَنَوْهُ

And gain knowledge from lessons' gardens

And harvest knowledge from the gardens of study,

And let the best people compete in gaining it

And compete with the most brilliant of those who have harvested it.

وَاجْتَبِ المُجْتَبىَ لَدَى الشَّرْعِ وَاعْلَمْ

إِنَّمَا يَجْتَبِى الذِينَ اجْتَبَوْهُ

And choose the chosen, according to the Law, and know

And choose what is chosen by the divine law, and know

Only those who chose him will be chosen

For only those who have chosen it do truly choose.

وَاصْطَفِ الْمُصْطَفَى لِرَبِّكَ وَاعْلَمْ

إِنَّمَا يُصْطَفَى الذِينَ اصْطَفَوْهُ

And prefer the Preferred of your Lord, and know

And select the selected for your Lord, and know

Only those who preferred him will be preferred

That only those who selected it are selected.

وَارْتَضِ الْمُرْتَضَى مِنَ الْحَقِّ وَاعْلَمْ

إِنَّمَا يُرْتَضَى الذِينَ ارْتَضَوْهُ

And take the middle course in matters, pliantly

And be pleased with what is pleasing of the truth, and know

Only those who took it will reach

That only those who are pleased with it are found pleasing.

وَامْتَطِ الْقَصْدَ فِي الأُمُورِ ذَلُولاً

إِنَّمَا يَبْلُغُ الذِينَ امْتَطَوْهُ

And accept the guest of harm, with patience and forbearance

And ride moderation in all matters as a tame mount,

Only those who accepted it will be praised

For only those who ride it reach their destination.

وَاقْرِ ضَيْفَ الأَذَى احْتِمَالاً وَحِلْماً

إِنَّمَا يُحْمَدُ الذِينَ قَرَوْهُ

And avoid creating anything indecent

And host the guest of harm with tolerance and forbearance,

Men create what they want, so avoid it

For only those who host him are praised.

وَاجْتَنِبْ خَلْقَ كُلِّ مَا لَيْسَ تَفْرِي

فَالرِّجَالُ مَا يَخْلُقُونَ فَرَوْهُ

And fear the corrupter of good deeds, the worst

And avoid measuring out whatever you cannot cut,

Of creations are those who corrupted what was repaired

For real men cut what they have measured out.

وَاخْشَ مِنْ مُفْسِدِ الصَّنِيعِ فَشَرُّ ال

خَلْقِ مَنْ رَمَّدُوا الذِي قَدْ شَوَوْهُ

And stick to honor and refuse lowly deeds

And beware of ruining a good deed, for the worst of

Noble is the status of those who refused it

People are those who burn to ashes what they have just roasted.

وَالْزَمِ الْعِزَّ وَاأْبَ فِعْلَ الدَّنَايَا

فَرَفِيعٌ شَأْنُ الأُلَى قَدْ أَبَوْهُ

And avoid tyranny and avoid its people

And adhere to honor and refuse the committing of base deeds,

How great is the worth of those who avoided it

For elevated is the status of those who have refused it.

وَاجْتَوِ الْبَغْيَ وَانْتَبِذْ مِنْ ذَوِيهِ

مَا أَجَلَّ قَدْرَ الذِينَ اجْتَوَوْهُ

And swallow anger and turn away its harm from you

And despise oppression and distance yourself from its people,

What a life is the life of those who swallowed it

How majestic is the worth of those who despise it!

وَاكْظِمِ الْغَيْظَ وَانْفِ عَنْكَ أَذَاهُ

أَيُّ عَيْشٍ عَيْشُ الذِينَ نَفَوْهُ

They controlled themselves and attained their wishes

And suppress your anger and banish its harm from yourself,

Quickly, and what they desired sought them

What a wonderful life is the life of those who banish it!

مَلَكُوا أَمْرَهُمْ وَنَالُوا مُنَاهُمْ

عَاجِلاً وَسَعَى لَهُمْ مَا اشْتَهَوْهُ

And easiness facilitated every difficulty for them

They have mastered their affairs and attained their desires

So they gained from their joys what they gained

Swiftly, and whatever they wished for rushed towards them.

وَهَنَاهُمْ تَيْسِيرُ كُلِّ عَسِيرٍ

فَاحْتَسَوْا مِنْ أَفْرَاحِهِمْ مَا احْتَسَوْهُ

And climb the towering heights through self-esteem

And the easing of every hardship brought them joy,

That's how the noble rise high

So they sipped from their joys whatever they sipped.

وَارْقَيْنَ شَامِخَ الْعُلاَ باِلتَّعَامِي

فَكَذَلِكَ الْكِرَامُ قِدْماً رَقَوْهُ

And ascend pride with the ladder of loyalty

And ascend the lofty heights of glory by turning a blind eye,

Even if to those who did not ascend it

For thus have the noble ones ascended it since ancient times.

وَاعْتَلِ الْفَخْرَ ذَا ارْتِفَاعٍ بِِمِعْرَا

جِ الْوَفَاءِ وَلَوْ لِِمَنْ مَا اعْتَلَوْهُ

And clothe the garment of guidance with the garment of advice

And climb to pride, high and elevated, by means of the ladder

The people of guidance thus clothed it

Of faithfulness, even for those who did not climb it.

وَارْفُ ثَوْبَ الْهُدَى بِمُنْصَحِ ثَوْبٍ

إِنَّ أَهْلَ النُّهَى كَذَاكَ رَفَوْهُ

And seek immortality in the Gardens and struggle

And darn the garment of guidance with the needle of a garment,

To see the rank of those who sought it

For the people of intellect have darned it thus.

وَابْتَغِ الْخُلْدَ فِي الْجَنَانِ وَجَاهِدْ

كَيْ تَرَى رُتْبَةَ الذِينَ ابْتَغَوْهُ

And constantly recite your Lord's Book and follow

And seek eternity in the Gardens, and strive

With perseverance the path of those who recited it

So that you may see the rank of those who sought it.

وَاتْلُ دَأْباً كِتَابَ رَبِّكَ وَاسْلُكْ

بِاجْتِهَادٍ سَبِيلَ مَنْ قَدْ تَلََوْهُ

And gain merit by salutations upon the most

And constantly recite the Book of your Lord, and tread

Noble of Messengers, like those who gained it

Diligently the path of those who have recited it.

وَانْتَقِ الْفََضْلَ بِالصَّلاَةِ عَلَى أَزْ

كَى رَسُولٍ مِثْلَ الذِينَ انْتَقَوْهُ

So upon him salutations, following greeting

And select grace by sending blessings upon the

As long as people recite his guidance and follow it

Purest Messenger, like those who have selected it.

فَعَلَيْهِ الصَّلاَةُ تَقْفُو سَلاَماً

مَا تَلاَ النَّاسُ هَدْيَهُ وَاقْتَفَوْهُ

And upon his noble esteemed family, who

So upon him be blessings, followed by peace,

Gained pride because of him and protected him

As long as people recite his guidance and follow it.

وَعَلَى آلِهِ الْكِرَامِ الأُلَى حَا

زُوا الْفَخَارَ مِنْ أَجْلِهِ وَحَوَوْهُ

And be pleased, our Lord, with a pleasure not mixed

And upon his noble family, those who have

With displeasure, with those who supported him

Attained glory for his sake and encompassed it.

وَارْضَ يَا رَبَّنَا رِضىً غَيْرَ مَمْزُو

جٍ بِسُخْطٍ عَنِ الذِينَ حَمَوْهُ

And with the followers who attained their

And be pleased, O our Lord, with a pleasure unmixed

Guidance to the esteemed ones, and followed it, and narrated it

With wrath, for those who protected him.

وَعَنِ التَّابِعِينَ مَنْ بَلَغُوا هَدْ

يَهُمْ لِلْأُلَى اِهْتَدَوْهُ فَرَوَوْهُ

And for the followers, those who conveyed their

Guidance to those who were guided by it and narrated it.
