O my masters, a slave at your doors
O my masters, a servant is at your doors,
Who hopes for that which will save him,
An uninvited guest, hoping for his deliverance.
His sins and faults have opposed him
His sins and his faults have battered him,
So he is all a burning anguish that boils him.
And all of them burn him in a fire of sorrow.
If you do not release his bondage, o bondage,
If you do not loose his bonds, alas for his captivity!
Every gloating foe will roast all that broils him.
All those who despise him will openly gloat.
