This poem and its light remind me
This verse and its light remind me
Of the beauty of the one I love, his radiance shines
Of the charms of my beloved, whose smile gleams.
His dignity has soaked his nature
Its majestic pride has been infused into his nature,
And his gentleness is embedded in his inner self
And its delicate grace is embodied in his slender waist.
His radiance in the soul is the light of his beloved
Its radiance within the soul is the light of the beloved,
When he appears and turns to him, his hair waves
When he appears, enveloped by his flowing locks.
And his attributes afterwards prove that he
Furthermore, its sublime qualities decree that it is
Is the prince of people's speech, rather he is its light
The prince of human speech; nay, its very light.
