مَنْ لِلْبَيَانِ خَلِيفَهْ
إِلاَّ الرِّضَى ابْنُ خَلِيفَهْ
Who but the successor of speech
Who is the heir to eloquence,
The contented son of a successor
Other than Al-Rida Ibn Khalifa?
بَيِّنْ لَنَا مُقْتَضَاهُ
يَا رَبَّهُ وَحَلِيفَهْ
Explain to us its requirements
Explain to us its requirements,
O its lord and ally
O its master and its ally!
بَقِيتَ فَذّاً مُفِيداً
غُرَّ الْمَعَانِي الشَّرِيفَهْ
You remained useful and beneficial
May you remain unparalleled, imparting
The noble meanings captivated you
The most brilliant and noble meanings.
يَا بَحْرَ عِلْمٍ طَمَى فِِي
بُرُودِ حِلْمٍ كَثِيفَهْ
O sea of knowledge it drowned in
O ocean of knowledge swelling within
The calm waters of abundant forbearance
Thick mantles of forbearance.
