1. يَا حُسْنَهُ وَالْحُسْنُ قَيَّدْ

    فِيهِ البَصيرَةَ إذْ تَأَوَّدْ

    O beauty, and beauty has chained

    The insight when it became friendly

  2. تَخِذَ الْمَلاحَةَ مَلْبَساً

    وَكَسَا المَلامَةَ مَنْ تَبَلَّدْ

    It took sarcasm as a garment

    And clothed blame the one who was slow-witted

  3. وَسَقاهُ حَيْثُ سَبَاهُ مِنْ

    مَا يَزْدَري بِسُلافِ صَرْخَدْ

    And quenched it where recklessness led it

    From what scorns the chirping of a lark

  4. فَمَشَتْ حُمَيَّا حُبِّهِ

    في لُبِّهِ فَصَبَا فَغَرَّدْ

    So its love walked proudly

    In its heart, so it chirped and trilled

  5. غَنَّى وَلَحْنُ غِنَائِهِ

    أَرْبَى عَلى نَغَمَاتِ مَعبَدْ

    It sang and the melody of its singing

    Was more wondrous than the tunes of the temple

  6. وَشَدا بِمَا فيهِ التَّخَ

    لُّصُ مِنْ عَناً لِأَجْلِ مَقْصَدْ

    And it persevered with what frees it

    From the toil for the sake of the purpose

  7. عِقْدُ العُلاََ وَالْحِسُّ يَشْهَدْ

    لَوْلاَ ابْنُ مَسْعودٍ تَبَدَّدْ

    The knot of glory and zeal testifies

    If not for Ibn Mas’ud it would have perished

  8. كَهْفُ الوَرى الْحَسَنُ الذِي

    دِينُ الإِلَهِ به مُؤَيَّدْ

    The cave of humankind, the beautiful one by which

    The religion of God is supported

  9. حَبْرٌ يُبيدُ الحِبْرَ بَعْ

    ضُ مَدِيحِهِ والْخُبْرُ يَشْهَدْ

    An ink that eliminates inks

    Some of its praise and the news testifies

  10. عَلاَّمَةُ الدُّنْيا بِلاَ

    ثُنْيَا وَمِصْقَعُهَا الْمُسَدَّدْ

    The landmark of the world without

    A second, and its polished template

  11. بَحْرْ الشَّريعَةِ وَالْحَقِي

    قَةِ فَاضَ فَيْضاً لَيْسَ يُعْهَدْ

    The sea of Sharia and truth overflowed

    An outpouring like no other is known

  12. بَذَّ الذِينَ تَقَدَّمُوا

    وَاسْتَشْهِدِ الأَخْبَارَ تُرْشَدْ

    It surpassed those who came before

    And cite the narrations, you will be guided

  13. فَسَمِيُّهُ الْبَصْرِيُّ لَوْ

    رُزِقَ الْحَيَاةَ لَهُ تَرَدَّدْ

    Its Basran namesake, if

    He lived, would have wavered over it

  14. حَسَنُ الْحُلَى هُوَ وَالعُلاَ

    أَخَوانِ ذاكَ بِذاكَ يُعْضَدْ

    Beauty and glory are brothers

    That one supports this one

  15. بَيْنَ الْهُدَى وَفِعالِهِ

    وَمَقالِهِ حِلْفٌ مُؤَكَّْد

    Between guidance and his actions

    And sayings an oath is confirmed

  16. مَنْ ضَلَّ عَنْ أَعْلامِهِ

    لمْ يَدْرِ كَيْفَ اللهً يُعْبَدْ

    Whoever strays from his symbols

    Does not know how God is worshipped

  17. عُجْ بِالْحِمَى مِنْ حُبِّهِ

    إِنْ شِئْتَ فِي الدَّارَيْنِ تَسْعَدْ

    Be passionate in his love if you wish

    To have bliss in both abodes

  18. وَحَذَارِ صُحْبَةَ نَاقِصٍ

    وَتَرَاكِ مَن يَأْبَى وَيَأْبَدْ

    And beware the company of one lacking

    And abandoning one who refuses and persists

  19. مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فِي حُبِّهِ

    طَعْمَ الْحَلاوَةِ لَيْسَ يُحْمَدْ

    One who does not find in his love

    The taste of sweetness is not praiseworthy

  20. مَنْ لَمْ يَرِدْ مِنْ بَحْرِهِ الْ

    عَذْبِ الْمَوَارِدِ لَنْ يُسَدَّدْ

    One who does not want from his sea

    The fresh springs will not be guided

  21. عَكْسُ النقِيضِ مُوافِقٌ

    لِمُرِيدِهِ فِي كُلِّ مَشْهَدْ

    The opposite of the contrary is compatible

    With the one who desires in every scene

  22. وَالدِّينُ والدنْيا لِمَنْ

    وَالَى مَوَدَّتَهُ بِمَرْصَدْ

    Religion and worldly life belong to one

    Who befriends his affection deliberately

  23. وَاليُمْنُ وَالإِقْبالُ فِي

    لَفْظِ الثَّنَاءِ عليهِ مُغْمَدْ

    Good fortune and prosperity in

    The wording of praise for him is sheathed

  24. كَنْزُ الْغِنَى هُوَ وَالْعَنَا

    مِمَّا تَبَايُنُهُ مُؤَبَّدْ

    He is the treasure of wealth and glory

    That which differs from it is firmly established

  25. لاَ يَعْرُجَنَّ إِلَى العُلاَ

    مَنْ لمْ يَلُذْ مِنْهُ بِمِصْعَدْ

    One will not aspire to glory

    Unless he tastes from it using a ladder

  26. لاَ يَفْتَحَنْ بَابَ الْمُنَى

    مَنْ لَمْ يَفُزْ مِنْهُ بِمِقْلَدْ

    The door of wishes will not open

    For one who does not win through it a key

  27. يَفْرِي دَيَاجِيرَ الْهَوَى

    مَنْ يَقْتَدِي مِنْهُ بِفَرْقَدْ

    It unleashes the horses of desire

    One who emulates him in separation

  28. وَيُجَارُ منْ جَمْعِ الْعِدَى

    مَنْ يَنْتَمي مِنْهُ لِمُفْرَدْ

    And protects from the band of enemies

    One who belongs to him as an individual

  29. يَعْنُو لَهُ الْجَبَّارُ ذُو ال

    بَتَّارِ وَهْوَ بهِ مُقَلَّدْ

    The Almighty who subdues cares for him

    And fears him whoever has not tasted

  30. وَيَهَابُهُ مَنْ لمْ يَذُقْ

    لِوِدَادِهِ طَعْماً فَيُرْعَدْ

    The sweetness of his love so he shivers

    A secret from the Merciful, not

  31. سِرٌّ مِنَ الرحْمَانِ لاَ

    سِرٌّ منَ السُّلْطانِ أَخْمَدْ

    A secret from a sultan, is more precious

    The care of the Lord Most High

  32. وَعِنَايَةُ الرَّبِّ الرؤُو

    فِ أَذَلَّتِ الْبَطَلَ الْمُزَرَّدْ

    Has humiliated the hero who plotted

    The sun of guidance slaying misguidance has come

  33. قَدْ جَاءَ شَمْسَ مَعَارِفٍ

    وَالْجَهْلُ أَتْهَمَ ثُمَّ أَنْجَدْ

    The rain of dew, the patron, Muhammad

    It shone over a grave containing

  34. وَالدِّينُ مَفْصُومُ الْعُرَى

    وَالَغَيُّ أَبْرَقَ ثمَّ أَرْعَدْ

    The supporter for whoever testified

    And the verified knowledge and the

  35. وَالْحَقُّ مَفْلولُ الشَّبَا

    وَالبَغْيُ صَارِمُهُ مُهَنَّدْ

    General advice for every guided one

    It eclipsed and made more general

  36. وَالْخَيْرُ فَاعِلُهُ تَبَدَّدْ

    وَالشَّرُّ مُوقِدُهُ تَوَدَّدْ

    Than it, broadly, and more beneficial

    The axis of the lights of guidance

  37. وَالْغَرْبُ غَرْبُ نَجَاتِهِ

    مُتَخَرِّقٌ وَالْبَأْسُ مُوقَدْ

    And the minaret of mystic knowledge and pillars

    A flood from the spirit of one

  38. وَبُغَاثُهُ مُسْتَنْسِرٌ

    وَسَرَاتُهُ سُرَّتْ بِجَدْجَدْ

    Whose achievements echo and repeat

    And after him it reached

  39. وَشَحَا الرَّدَى أُفْوَاهَهُ

    فُضَّتْ لِبَلْعِ وُلاَةِ أَحْمَدْ

    Our lantern whose light has ignited

    The light of the time, Abu Ali

  40. صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ اللهُ مَا

    نَصَرَ الإِلَهُ بِهِ وَأَيَّدْ

    The pride of whoever obeyed and unified

    One who does not attempt his stature

  41. وَالآلِ والأَصْحابِ مَنْ

    نَصَروا النَّبِيَّ بِكُلِّ مِجْدَدْ

    In solving a complex dilemma

    And ask about the lessons or the couplets

  42. مِنْ كلِّ نَجْمٍ طَالِعٍ

    فيِ بُرْجٍ سَامِي الجِيدِ أَجْرَدْ

    For they cannot be refuted

    If the ember of his intelligence flares up

  43. وَالْعِلْمُ مِمَّا قَدْ عَرَا

    فِيمَا أَقَامَ جَوىً وَأَقْعَدْ

    You see the heap of ignorance collapse

    And when he unsheathes guidance

  44. يَبْكِي قَوَاعِدَهُ كَمَا

    أبْكَى لَبِيداً فَقْدُ أَرْبَدْ

    You see misguidance harvested

    It is as if God’s sword in

  45. فَأَعَادَ مِنْ أَنْوَارِهِ

    مَا قَدْ خَبَا وَالْعَوْدُ أَحْمَدْ

    Sham has tasted the polished

    Or Hamza—he who breaks

  46. وَبَنَى قَوَاعِدَهُ وَشَيَّدْ

    وَحَوَى شَوَارِدَهُ وَقَيَّدْ

    The army—plucking the mobilized

    Or Dhul-Fiqar leading whoever

  47. وَأَبَادَ مِنْ سُحْبِ الْجَهَا

    لَةِ مَا تَكَاثَفَ أَوْ تَكَلَّدْ

    Of the Kharijites rebelled

    Or the wrath of Amr of renown

  48. وَسَقَى رِيَاضَ فُنُونِهِ

    فَاخْضَرَّ مِنْها كلُّ أَمْلَدْ

    The day he faced the Persians stripped

    Their heads bowed to him

  49. فَتََتَّقَتْ أَزْهَارُهَا

    وَتَأَرَّجَتْ فيِ كُلِّ مَعْهَدْ

    While the Persians were prostrated by fire

    My master, O you who has woven

  50. وَسَرَى لأَِقْصَى الأَرْضِ مِنْ

    نَفَحاتِها مُبْرِي الْمُسَهَّدْ

    From the yarn of eloquence each enclosure

    And narrated the merits and

  51. وَرَمَى الضَّلاَلَ بِأَسْهُمٍ

    مِنْ سُنَّةِ الْهَادِي فَأَقْصَدْ

    Virtues from verified sources

    From Nasir al-Din ibn Nasir

  52. فَالدِّينُ أَصْبَحَ ضَاحِكاً

    حُلْوَ الْحُلَى فِي زَيِّ فَوْهَدْ

    Who revived and renewed

    My poetry has come to you and its face

  53. لِمْ لاَ وَقَدْ زُفَّتْ لَهُ الْ

    غَرَّاءُ حَالِيَةَ الْمُقَلَّدْ

    Is shy before you and submissive

    I scented it with your praise

  54. وَأَدَارَ خَمْرَ حَقَائِقٍ

    لِلَّهِ مَا أَحْلَى وَأَرْغَدْ

    For through it to happiness it ascends

    And I restrained it with your glory

  55. ثَبَتَتْ لَهَا الأَفْرَاحُ إِذْ

    رَقَصَتْ لَهَا الأَرْوَاحُ مِنْ دَدْ

    So this transmitter through it is restricted

    If it tasted bad

  56. مَنْ ذَاقَ مِنْهَا شُرْبَةً

    أَوْلَتْهُ سُكْراً لَيْسَ يَنْفَدْ

    And became overcooked then limp

    And was improper when it gifted

  57. فَإِذَا صَحَا مِنْهَا بِهَا

    طَرَقَتْهُ لِذَاتِهَا فَعَرْبَدْ

    My feeble, worthless leaves

    But a raindrop

  58. آخَى بِهَا بَيْنَ الْعِبَا

    دِ فَأَصْلَحَتْ مَا الصَّحْوُ أَفْسَدْ

    To the Nile when it flooded and foamed

    Excuse it, my master, for

  59. عَرِّجْ بِأَنْجَادِ الْعُلاَ

    مِنْ أَرْضِهِ تَسْعَدْ وَتُنْجَدْ

    Excuse with you is well-prepared

    This—and my elegance

  60. تَجِدِ الْمُنَى دَانِي الْجَنَى

    وَتُصَافِحِ الآمَالَ بِالْيَدْ

    Did not extend toward its wing a hand

    Your love plucked it

  61. وَتَرَ الْجَلاَلَ مُخَيِّماً

    فِي بُرْدِ مِفْضَالٍ مُمَجَّدْ

    From a garden of thought not yet harvested

    A storm of passionate love for you

  62. وَالْبِشْرَ يُعْشِي نُورُهُ

    عَيْنَ الْعَنَا وَالْوَجْدُ يُطْرَدْ

    Struck it with bursts of rancor

    And your acceptance of it, my master

  63. وَالْفَضْلَ مَنْثُورَ اللِّوَا

    ءِ لِمَنْ تَصَوَّبَ أَوْ تَصَعَّدْ

    Will raise it and it will be happy

    And it will boast to the pearl which

  64. وَالْحِلْمَ رَاسٍ طَوْدُهُ

    وَقَصَائِدَ الإِرْشَادِ تُنْشَدْ

    In the necklace of the most splendid settled

    Grant me your approval, for whoever attains

  65. وَالْعِلْمَ مَاجَ عُبَابُهُ

    يُرْوِي وَيُشْبِعُ مَنْ تَوَرَّدْ

    Your approval will conquer every prey

    And ignite every dimwit

  66. مَنْ لَمْ يَطُفْ بِحِمَاهُ بَيْ

    تِ الْمَكْرُمَاتِ فَلَيْسَ يُرْفَدْ

    So tomorrow morn or the next day they will mourn

    For I have become accustomed to approval

  67. مَنْ لَمْ يُشَاهِدْ دَرْسَهُ

    وَنَفَائِسُ الأَبْحَاثِ تُورَدْ

    And shrivels preserve what they are accustomed to

    May God maintain your existence

  68. وَالنُّجْحُ دَانٍ وَالْوَقَا

    رُ يَحُفُّ مِنْهُ أَغَرَّ أَوْحَدْ

    And righteousness in life is immortalized

    He lives so he can be found when lost

  69. وَجَدَا الصَّوَابِ يُمِدُّهُ

    هَطَّالُهُ بِزُلاَلِ مَدْمَدْ

    One who cannot be found when present is lost

  70. وَالْبِشْرُ يُوعِدُ بِالْمُنَى

    وَسَحَائِبُ الأَوْهَامِ تُبْعَدْ

  71. وَاللَّفْظُ يَجْلُو خُرَّداً

    قَدْ زَفَّهَا الْفِكْرُ الْمُؤَيَّدْ

  72. وَالْفَهْمُ يُنْشِدُ مَنْ تَبَلَّدْ

    لَبَّيْكَ أَبْشِرْ لاَ تَأَلَّْد

  73. لَمْ يَجْنِ تَمْرَ الْعِلْمِ بَلْ

    لَمْ يَدْرِ كَيْفَ الْعِلْمُ يُنْشَدْ

  74. مَنْ مُبْلِغُ عَنِّي الْمُسَا

    عِدَ والْمُعَانِدَ حيْثُ شَرَّدْ

  75. لِيَطِيبَ ذَا نَفْساً فَيَحْمَدْ

    وَيَزِيدَ ذَا رِجْساً فَيَحْرَدْ

  76. أَنِّي اقْتَنَيْتُ منَ الْعُلَا

    مَا لاَ يٌحَدُّ وَلاَ يُعَدَّدْ

  77. جَالَسْتُ فَخْرَ الدِّينِ وَالْ

    إِرْشَادُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ يُسْرَدْ

  78. وَسَمِعْتُ عِزَّ الدِّينِ إِذْ

    أَمْلَى قَوَاعِدَهُلِرُوَّدْ

  79. وَشَهِدْتُ سَعْدَ الدين ِقَدْ

    أَقْرَا مَقَاصِدَهُ لِقُصَّدْ

  80. وَرَأَيْتُ مَجْدَ الدينِوَالْ

    قَامُوسُ مُشْكِلُهُ يُقَيَّدْ

  81. فَأَفَادَنِي من نَظْمِهِ ال

    مُزْري بِأسْلاكِ الزبَرْجَدْ

  82. عَرِّجْ بِمُنْعَرِجِ الْهِضَا

    بِ يَتِيمَةِ الْعِقْدِ الْمُنَضَّدْ

  83. وَقَصِيدَةً قَصَدَتْ حُلَى ال

    إِبْدَاعِ مِنْ مَثْنىً وَمَوْحَدْ

  84. نَظَمَتْ مِنَ الأَمْثَالِ مَا

    لَمْ يَنْتَظِمْ بِطُلَى مُجَلَّدْ

  85. وَحَوَتْ مِنَ الآداَبِ مَا

    لَمْ يَحْوِ دِيوَانُ الْمُبَرِّدْ

  86. يُبْدِي نَسِيمُ نَسِيبِهَا

    لُطْفاً صَبَابَةَ مَنْ تَجَلَّدْ

  87. وَتَقُودُ رَاحَةَ وَعْظِهَا

    مَنْ قَدْ قَسَا قَلْباً بِمِقْوَدْ

  88. ومَديحُهَا يُنْسِيكَ مَا

    صَاغَ الْمُخَضْرَمُ وَالْمُوَلَّدْ

  89. لِِمْ لاَ وَدُرُّ عُقُودِهِ

    لِمُؤَازِرِ الإِسْلاَمِ مُسْنَدْ

  90. ذَاكَ ابنُ نَاصِرٍالذِي

    نَصَرَ الرشادََ وَقَدْ تَنَهَّْد

  91. شَمْس ُالْهُدى مُرْدي الردَى

    غَيْثُ النَّدى الْمَوْلَى مُحَمَّدْ

  92. سَحَّتْ علَى جَدَثٍ حَوَى

    مِنْهُ النَّصِيرَ لِمَنْ تَشَهَّدْ

  93. وَالْعِلْمَ ذَا التَّحْقيقِ وَالْ

    نُّصْحَ الْعَمِيمَ لِكُلِّ مُهَتَّدْ

  94. وَأَسَحَّ مِنْ وَبْلِ الْحَيَا

    وَأَعَمَّ مِنْهُ جَداً وَأَفْيَدْ

  95. وَمَدَارَ أَنْوارِ الْهُدَى

    وَمَنَارَ عِرْفانٍ وَسُؤْدَدْ

  96. هَطْلاَءُ مِنْ رَوْحِ الذِي

    أَبْقَى مَآثِرَهُ تُرَدَّدْ

  97. وَأَنَالَهَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِ

    مِصْبَاحَنَا ذَا اللَّذْ تَوَقَّدْ

  98. نُورُ الزمانِ أبُو عَلِ

    يٍّ عِزُّ مَنْ لَبَّى وَوَحَّدْ

  99. مَنْ لاَ يُحَاوِلُ شَأْوَهُ

    فِي حَلِّ إِشْكَالٍ تَعَقَّدْ

  100. وَسَلِ الدُّرًوسَ أَوِ الطُّرُو

    سَ فَإِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ تُفَنَّدْ

  101. إِنْ شَبَّ جَمْرَ ذَكائِهِ

    شَاهَدْتَ كُومَ الْجَهْلِ تَصْخَدْ

  102. وَإِذَا انْتَضَى مِنْ هَدْيِهِ

    عَضْباً رَأَيْتَ الزَّيْغَ يُحْصَدْ

  103. فَكَأَنَّ سَيْفَ اللهِِ عِنْ

    دَ الشَّامِ قَدْ شَامَ الْمُهَنَّدْ

  104. أَوْ حَمْزَةًوَهْوَ الْغَضَنْ

    فَرُ يَقْضِمُ الْجُنْدَ الْمُجَنَّدْ

  105. أوْ ذَا الفَقَّارِيَقُدُّ مِنْ

    جَمْعِ الْخَوَارِجِ مَا تَمَرَّدْ

  106. أَوْ عَضْبَ عَمْرٍوذَا الصَّرَا

    مَةِ يَوْمَ فَارِسَإِذْ تَجَرَّدْ

  107. سَجَدَتْ رُؤُوسُهُمُ لَهُ

    وَالْفُرْسُ لِلنِّيرَانِ سُجَّدْ

  108. مَوْلاَيَ يَا مَنْ حَاكَ مِنْ

    غَزْلِ الْبَلاَغَةِ كُلَّ مِحْفَدْ

  109. وَرَوى أَحادِيثَ الفَضا

    ئِلِ وَالْمَنَاقِبِ عنْ مُسَدَّدْ

  110. عَنْ نَاصِرِ الدِّينِ بْنِ نَا

    صِرٍ الذِي أَحْيَا وَجَدَّدْ

  111. شِعْرِي أتَاكَ وَوَجْهُهُ

    بحَِيَائِهِ مِنْكُمْ مُوَرَّدْ

  112. رَفّلْتُهُ بِمَدِيحِكُمْ

    إِذْ مِنْهُ لِلإِسْعَادِ يَصْعَدْ

  113. وَعَقَلْتُهُ بِعُلاكُمُ

    فِلِذَا الرَّوِيُّ بِهِ مُقَيَّدْ

  114. إِنْ كَانَ سَاءَ مِزَاجُهُ

    وَشَوَى فَأَنْضَجَ ثُمَّ رَمَّدْ

  115. وَأَسَاءَ إِذْ أَهْدى الزُّيُو

    فَ لِمَعْدِنَيْ وَرِقٍ وَعَسْجَدْ

  116. بَلْ قَطْرَةً مِنْ آسِنٍ

    لِلنِّيلِ حِينَ طَمَى وَأَزْبَدْ

  117. فَاعْذِرْهُ يَا مَوْلايَ إِ

    نَّ الْعُذْرَ عِنْدَكُمْ مُمَهَّدْ

  118. هَذا وَإِنَّ تَأَنُّقِي

    مَا مَدَّ نَحْوَ جَنَاهُ مِنْ يَدْ

  119. قَطَفَتْهُ رَاحَةُ حُبِّكُمْ

    مِنْ رَوْضِ فِكْرٍ غَيْر أَغْيَدْ

  120. أَذْوَتْهُ إِعْصَارٌ تَهُ

    بُّ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ لَفَحَاتِ حُقَّدْ

  121. وَقَبُولُكُمْ إِيَّاهُ يَا

    مَوْلايَ يَرْفَعُهُ فَيَسْعَدْ

  122. وَيُفَاخَرُ الدُّرُّ الذِي

    فِي جِيدِ أَجْيَدَ قَدْ تَنَضَّدْ

  123. هَبْ لِي رِضَاكَ فَمَنْ يَفُزْ

    بِرِضَاكَ يَقْهَرْ كلَّ أصْيَدْ

  124. وَيَهِجْ تَحَرُّقَ كُلِّ أوْغَدْ

    فَيَحِنْ غَدَاةَ الْيَوْمِِ أَوْ غَدْ

  125. فَلَقَدْ تَعَوَّدْتُ الرِّضَى

    وَالْقَرْمُ يَحْفَظُ مَا تَعَوَّدْ

  126. أبْقَى الإِلَهُ وُجُودَكُمْ

    وَالْبَرُّ فِي الدُّنْيَا مُخَلَّدْ

  127. يَحْيَى فَيُوجَدُ حِينَ يُفْقَدْ

    مَنْ لَيْسَ يُفْقَدُ حِينَ يُوجَدْ
