بَحْرَ النَّدَى وَالْهُدَى أَبَا حَاجَهْ

اِرْحَمْ فَقِيراً أَتَاكَ ذَا حَاجَهْ

The sea of dew and guidance, O Abu Haja

O ocean of generosity and guidance, Aba Hajah,

Have mercy on a poor man with a request

Have mercy on a poor man who has come to you in need,

يَرْجُو مَوَاهِبَكَ التِي بَهَرَتْ

فَاقْصِمْ عُرَى خَطْبِهِ الذِي هَاجَهْ

Seeking your brilliant gifts

Hoping for your bounties which have dazzled all,

Break the fetters of his turbulent plea

So break the bonds of the affliction that torments him.
