لهْفي على مودَّةٍ

تَكَدَّرتْ حين صَفَتْ

Yearning for an affection

That has been disturbed when it cleared

ذكَّرتُهَا أيْمَانَهَا

فَحَلَفَت ما حلَفَتْ

I reminded her of her oaths

So she swore as she swore
