أفْطِرْ وأكباد العُداة تفطّرُ

في نعمةٍ تنمي ودنيا تَزهرُ

Break your fast while the livers of enemies break

In bounty that grows and a world that blossoms

لا زلتَ تقدُم في العلى طلابَها

ويُقدَّمون إلى الردى وتؤخّر

You still offer its seekers the heights

While they are offered to ruin and are delayed

وأما ومن أردى عدوك ما استوى

لك قتلُهُ إلا وأنت مُعمَّر

As for whoever of your enemies prevails

Killing him rights you while you live on

قد كان دبّر ما علمت فعاقهُ

قدَرٌ عليه من السماء مدبّرُ

He schemed what you knew and was punished by

A fate from the heavens arranged against him
