على الطائر الأيمن المرتجى

وسعدٍ من الطالعِ النَّاجِمِ

Upon the auspicious bird of good omen

And the felicitous stars' alignment

أتاك أبو غالب كالهلال

بدا ليلةَ الفطرِ للصائمِ

Abu Ghalib has come to you like the crescent moon

Appearing on the night of Eid for the faster

يُبَشِّر بالخَيْرِ بعد السرورِ

وبالرُّخْصِ بعد الغلا الدَّائم

Bringing good tidings after joy

And relaxation after enduring thirst

وبالخِصْبِ بعد السنينَ الَّتي

توالتْ جُدوباً على العالم

And fertility after years

Of consecutive barrenness upon the world

فآذنَ بالفرجِ المُرْتَجَى

وصدَّق رُؤْيَايَ في الخاتم

So proclaim the hoped deliverance

And confirm my dream in the end

وسرَّ الصديق وساءَ العِدا

وراغَمَ ذا المَعْطِسِ الرَّاغم

Please the friend and vex the enemy

And defy the sneezing defier

سليلُ تَقيٍّ نَقيِّ الجيو

بِ من دنسَ العابِ والمأثم

The progeny of the sincere and pure lineage

Unlike the one who dirtied his mouth and sinned

كريمٌ لأكرمِ مَنْ يُرتَجى

وأجودُ في الجودِ من حاتم

A generous one for the most hoped generosity

And most bountiful in bounty over Hatem

وبدْرٌ لبدرٍ بدا مُشْبِهاً

لوالدهِ غيرَ ما ظالم

A full moon to another full moon resembling his father

Without doing wrong

فهُنِئْته يا أبا الصقر من

بشيرٍ بثانٍ له قادم

So congratulations O Abu Al Saqr from

Another bringer of good news coming to him

وعمَّرهُ اللَّهُ حتَّى تَرى

بنيه رُعاةَ بني آدم

And may Allah grant him long life until you see

His sons become spiritual guides of mankind

وبلَّغهُ مبْلَغَ الصالحين

وأرقدَ عَيْنَيْهِ من نائم

And may He take him to the station of the righteous

And allow his eyes sleep like a slumberer
