لها جبهة فيها سطوح نصيفِ
وصدغ لها غال بنصف رغيفِ
She has a forehead vast as Naṣīf’s roof terraces,
and even half a loaf is too dear a price for her temple.
كأن بقايا المسك في صحن خدها
بقايا سماد في جدار كنيف
The traces of musk upon the broad expanse of her cheek seem
like scraps of dung on the wall of a privy.
