وحيَّةٍ في رأسها دُرَّةٌ

تسبَحُ في بحرٍ قصيرِ المَدَى

A snake with a pearl in its head

Swims in a sea of short extent

فإن تَولَّتْ فالعَمَى حاضرٌ

وإن بدتْ بان طريقُ الهدى

If it turns away, blindness is present

And if it appears, the path of guidance becomes evident
