1. كلُّ زرعٍ فإنه للحصادِ

    والمنايا روائح وغوادي

    Every planting, it is for the harvest

    And death has smells and valleys

  2. رحم اللّه من مضى ووقاكُمْ

    نُوَبَ الدهر يا بني حمَّادِ

    May God have mercy on those who passed

    And protect you, O sons of Hammad

  3. فلئن نلتُم سُعُود جُدودٍ

    ما حُرمتُمْ مكارمَ الأجدادِ

    So if you attained the fortune of ancestors

    You were not deprived of the nobleness of forefathers

  4. ولئن لم يكن من الموت بُدٌّ

    إن معروفكم لبَالمرصادِ

    And if death is inevitable

    Your good deeds lie in wait

  5. فاسلموا وانعموا بخير متاعٍ

    واسعدوا بعده بخير مَعادِ

    So submit, and enjoy the best livelihood

    And after it, enjoy the best place to return

  6. جعل اللّه عَيْشكم خير عيش

    ما حَيِيتُمْ وزادكُمْ خير زادِ

    May God make your life the best life

    As long as you live, and increase your best provision

  7. ووقاكم كيْدَ البغاة ولا قلـ

    ـلَلَ أمدادكم من الحُسّادِ

    And protect you from the harm of transgressors

    And never lessen your supplies from the envious

  8. يا بني النُسْكِ والحكومة والحكـ

    ـمة والعدل والنُّهَى والرشادِ

    O sons of piety, government, wisdom

    Justice, guidance, and integrity

  9. إن فعلتم ففعلُكُمْ لصواب

    أو نطقتم فنطقكم لسَداد

    If you act, your action is right

    Or if you speak, your speech hits the mark
