إبليس إن كنتَ من المُنْظرينْ

إبليس إن كنتَ من المُنْظرينْ

وكُنتَ لا تهلكُ في الهالكينْ

وكُنتَ لا تهلكُ في الهالكينْ

Iblis, if you are among those granted respite,

and are not to perish among those who perish,

هذا أبو حسانَ سيفُ الردى

هذا أبو حسانَ سيفُ الردى

كَلِّمْه إن كنت من الصادقين

كَلِّمْه إن كنت من الصادقين

here is Abu Hassan, the sword of death.

Speak to him, if you are truthful.

والله لو راجعْته لفظةً

والله لو راجعْته لفظةً

ما رِمْت أو يقطع منك الوتين

ما رِمْت أو يقطع منك الوتين

By God, were you to answer him with a single word,

you would not budge before he severed your life-vein.
