  1. قل يا أبا حسن لا زلتَ في مِنَنٍ

    يا ماليءَ القلبِ والأذنين إحسانا

    Say, O Abu Hassan, you are still bestowing favors,

    O you who fill my heart and ears with kindness,

  2. تُدير صوتاً لَنَا ما زال مُقْترحاً

    أبقَى بقلبي أَطراباً وأشجانا

    You direct a voice to us that continues to charm,

    Leaving my heart disturbed and full of passion.

  3. يا حبَّذا جبلُ الريّان من جبلٍ

    وحبّذا ساكنُ الريان مَنْ كانا

    Blessed is Mount Rayyan over any mountain,

    And blessed are the dwellers of Rayyan whoever they may be,

  4. ولن ترانيَ إلا حاملاً قَدَحاً

    وشارباً وعليهِ منهُ سكرانا

    You will not see me except carrying a cup,

    Drinking from it and intoxicated by it.
