1. يا أيها السيد الذي طَهُرت

    به من المنكراتِ بغداذُ

    O Master who with him Baghdad was purified

    From evils, and one with a nature

  2. ومن غدا وهو للخبائث تَر

    راكٌ وللطيبات أَخّاذُ

    That ruins the wicked but aids

    The righteous, blessed acquiring wealth

  3. مبارَك في يديه للمالِ إه

    لاكٌ وللهالكين إنقاذُ

    Yet rescuing those facing destruction—

    I seek refuge from hardship in your ease,

  4. أَعوذ من عُسْرتي بيسركَ وال

    أحرارُ بالأكرمين عُوّاذُ

    For the free are protected by the generous.
