كأنّ له في الجوِّ حبلاً يبوعُهُ

إذا ما انقضى حبلٌ أُتيح له حَبْلُ

It is as though he has a cord within his heart that he twists tight;

whenever one cord is spent, another is granted him.

يعانقُ أنفاسَ الرياح مودّعاً

وداعَ رحيلٍ لا يُحَطّ له رحْلُ

He embraces the breaths of the winds as he bids farewell—

the farewell of one departing, who never sets down his saddle.
