وأحسنُ ما في الوجوه العيونُ
وأشبَه شيءٍ بها النرجسُ
And fairest of all in faces are the eyes;
and most resembling them is the narcissus.
يظل يلاحظ وجه الندي
م فرداً وحيداً فيستأنسُ
It keeps gazing upon the face of darkness,
alone and solitary—and so it finds solace.
