Give me to drink al-askarkuʿ al-ṣin—
bir, in its jaʿḍalfīn.
And place rue in its mou—
ths—some of it, branches and all.
For at its to—
p is a strainer, and perfume for its insides.
And let it be the work of the Ku—
fan, whose customer is a songster.
And cook the gourds and the ḥī—
rāb, with color across its broad surfaces.
For it rescues the mad—
man from the malady of his madness.
And cook me milk, curd—
led—colored by its labūn (perhaps its “milkiness”).
And from the sikbāj, cook
for me a bull, horns and all.
