ألا رُبَّ أشياءَ مذكورةٍ

يُحدَّثُ عنها وليستْ تُرى

Alas, how many things that are mentioned

Are talked about yet not seen

بِعرْسٍ وآوَى وما أشْبها

وكابنِ الرُّخاميِّ طيفِ الكَرى

Like a wedding, shelter, and the like

And like the apparition of Ibn al-Roumi
