قُلْ خالدٌ وخلاك ذمُّ

والصبح أجلح لا أغَمُّ

Say Khaled left you in blame

And the dawn shines, I do not worry

العارُ قدماً والشنا

ر لخالدٍ خالٌ وعمُّ

Shame is forward and censure

For Khaled an empty friend and uncle

شيخ يُناكُ عِيالُهُ

وكأنّهُ تَيْسٌ أحَمُّ

An old man kisses his family

As if he is a hornless billy goat

نيكٌ أذانُ صلاتِهِ

ضمٌّ وتقبيلٌ وشمُّ

Good are his ears in prayer

Pressing, kissing and smelling

وكأنه إذ ذاك زَمْ

مَمَ أنفهُ خَطْمٌ وزَمُّ

سيرَى المُدَلِّسُ أيَّنا

يَخْزَى إذا احتشكَ المضمُّ

The hypocrite will see which of us

Is shamed when the wrestler engages

لا ينْثَني عنه الرُّقا

ةُ فإنه حَنَشٌ أصمُّ

He is not bent by mercy

For he is a deaf Ethiopian
