حصلنا من فتوحك يا سليْمى

على أن تَسْلَمي وتُهنِّئينا

Through your conquests, O Suleiman,

We have obtained that you greet us and congratulate us,

إذا حَمِيَ الوطيسُ نَجَوْتِ رَكضاً

وغادرتِ الكماة مُجَدَّلينا

If the dust rises, you will escape running away,

And leave the enemy confused about us.

فلا وألتْ هنالكَ نَفْس سُوءٍ

عليها يا سُلَيْمُ تُحاذرينا

So no evil soul remained there,

O Suleiman, you must beware of us.

هي النَّفْسُ التي إما أُصيبتْ

فأهونُ ما تصيب المسلمينا

It is the soul that was hit,

The least of what hits the Muslims.
