طلابُكَ للحظوظِ من العناءِ

فدعْها للسفاهةِ والجِباءِ

Your students desire respite from toil

Leave that to the foolish and ignoble

وكِدْ دُنْياكَ ما بُقِّيتَ فيها

بصافيةٍ أرقَّ من الهواءِ

And strive for your life while you remain

With purest spirit, finer than the air

ولا تُتْبِع حُمَيَّاً الكأس نُقْلاً

سوى أعراضِ أولادِ الزناءِ

And do not chase the cup from hand to hand

Save the attributes of adulterers' sons
