1. بَروكٌ لحاجاتِ الغواةِ مُلظّة

    ولو لبثْت حولاً تُساط وتُنخسُ

    The eager's requirements are scorching,

    Though if lingering awhile, they are smoothed and diminished.

  2. كفيل أبي يكسومَ عند بُرُوكه

    غداةَ نهاه عن نواهُ المغمِّسُ

    My father's guarantee clothes them at his show,

    The day after his wet-willied intentions reprimanded them.

  3. تُقارفُ منهنَّ الليالي مخازياً

    تكاد لها قَمراؤُهُنَّ تَحنْدسُ

    Their nights commit with him shameful acts,

    Their moons nearly set at the sight of them.
