يا قاتلَ السنَّورِ والديكِ

بِلَيّ أعناقٍ وتفكيكِ

O killer of cats and cocks

With twisted necks and disjointing

للَّهِ أفعالك تلك التي

لحتْكَ من جوعٍ وتدليكِ

To God belong those acts of yours

That freed you from hunger and massage

ورُحت منها طاعماً ناعماً

كأنما فزتَ بتمليك

And you went from it satisfied and pampered

As if you had gained by ownership

للَّه أفعالُك تلك التي

بِتَّ بها فوقَ الدرانيك

To God belong those acts of yours

With which you slept atop staircases

فُزتَ بقدرٍ طيِّبٍ طعمُها

وكعثبٍ زينَ بتشويك

You gained a good sustenance

And pounced, adorned with ravishing

قد بخَّرته لك هِركَوْلةٌ

ومسَّكته أيَّ تمسيك

It steamed for you, O Hercules

And you took hold of it, O any seizing

وقيل ما هذا فأبرزته

وقلت ذا بعض المساويك

And it was said what is this, so you took it out

And said this is some of the equalizations

بل سهمُ تركيٍّ له فضلةٌ

يرمي به بعض التنابيك

Rather, an arrow of a Turk which has superiority

هذا الذي يصبحُ من ذاقه

يذلُّ لي ذُلَّ المماليك

This which whoever tastes it in the morning

عَرْدٌ عليه فيشة ضخمةٌ

كأنها بعضُ المكاكيك

يا ربّ خودٍ غضةٍ بضةٍ

قد حنَّكتْها أيَّ تحنيكِ

O Lord of a smooth, plump, swollen

That I fitted, O any fitting

أولجتُ في فيها الذي في استها

آلة تحنيك وتسويك

I inserted in its opening that which is in its staff

A device of fitting and smoothing

هذا الذي أصبحتُ من أجله

أفتكَ من بعضِ الصعاليك

This for which I have become
