يا ويحَ من أصبح في غُمَّةٍ
ليس له من كربها مخرَجُ
Oh woe to him who wakes in gloom
With no escape from his distress-
فروحُهُ تُزعَجُ عن جسمه
وجسمُه عن بيته يُزعجُ
His spirit troubled, torn from his flesh,
His body banished from its rest.
