1. قِدِم الأميرُ أخو الأميـ

    ـرِ أبو الحسين المُصْعَبُ

    The prince, brother of the prince

    Abu Al-Hussein Al-Mus'ab has arrived

  2. فالأهلُ والسهلُ المرَيـ

    ـعُ لوجهه والمَرْحَبُ

    So the family and fertile plains

    Welcome him with greetings

  3. وعلى السعادة تُبتَنى

    حُجْراتُهُ وتُطنَّبُ

    In his palace of good fortune

    Chambers are built and perfumed

  4. مَلِكٌ أغرٌّ مُحجَّبٌ

    معروفُهُ لا يُحجَبُ

    A veiled generous king

    Whose favors are not withheld

  5. يغدو بِعرْضٍ وافرٍ

    يحميهِ مالٌ مُنْهَبُ

    He goes out with abundant honor

    Protected by plundered wealth

  6. بدرٌ كأن البدرَ مقـ

    ـروناً إليه كوكبُ

    A full moon as if the moon

    Is bowing down to him like a planet

  7. بحرٌ كأن البحر مقـ

    ـروناً إليه مِذْنَبُ

    A sea as if the sea

    Is bowing down to him like a comet's tail

  8. سيفٌ له من كلّ نا

    حيةٍ ووجهٍ مَضْربُ

    A sword that strikes from every

    Serpent's fang and every face

  9. ليثٌ لَهُ في كلِّ جا

    رحةٍ وعضوٍ مخْلبُ

    A lion whose claws grab

    Every battlefield and every limb

  10. خُلِعَتْ عليه من المحا

    سنِ خِلعةٌ لا تُسلَبُ

    He was robed with robes of honor

    That cannot be stripped

  11. عَذُبَتْ خلائقُهُ فكا

    دَ من العذوبة يُشرَبُ

    His qualities are so sweet

    It's as if from sweetness he was sipped

  12. وَهَبَتْ له كفٌّ وَهُو

    بٌ كلَّ ما لا يُوهَبُ

    To him was given a palm and passion

    All that cannot be granted

  13. عَضُدٌ لسيّدِنا وغيـ

    ـثٌ للورى يَتصبّبُ

    A pillar for our master, and rain

    That pours goodness onto the land
