The tongue with which I wove your praise

Can undo what it has woven

Yet I will not mar my virtue

Though hurt by gross affront from you

I have two goals, and I do not follow

The first, which leads to lies when difficulties arise

What can protect the good man from one who harms him

    In ignorance, when problems grow?

For you, I chose a gentle scent of musk

So do not make it malodorous
