عيدان أضحى ومهرجانُ
ما ضم مثلَيْهِما أوانُ
The days of festival and joy
None like them time did deploy
أعيدُ نُسْكٍ وعيدُ لهوٍ
تجاورا أبدَعَ الزمانُ
Feast day and fun day convened
In marvelous union time gained
ألَّف شكلَيْهما إمامٌ
أفعالُهُ فيهما حِسان
An Imam of excellence rare
Brought them together with care
فاللَّهُ يُبْقي الإمامَ حتى
يُرى لمثلَيْهما اقتران
So God will let this Imam stay
Till the two days together play
مُعتمدٌ لم يزلْ عميداً
ينطقُ عن فضله البيان
Supported he always presides
His grace and favor derides
في كل أَرٍض وكلِّ قوم
يُثْنِي بآلائه لسان
In every land and every clan
All tongues his boons began
أشرقَ للناسِ منه بَدْرٌ
لم يَخْلُ مِنْ نوره مكان
A moon for all arose in him
No place bereft of his beam
ما زانه الملك إذْ حواه
بل كُل شيء به يُزان
Kingship no more his glory confined
For by him all is refined
جَرَى ففات المُلوكَ سبْقاً
فليس قُدَّامه عنان
Beyond all kings he rose high
No restraint to him came nigh
ولم يزل للإمام سَعْيٌ
بمثله تُحْرَز الرهان
To the Imam remains the zeal
By it great hopes reveal
نالت يداهُ ذُرَى مَعالٍ
يعجز عن نيلها العيان
Hands that did lofty glory savor
That eyes cannot tally or number
مُكَرَّمٌ عِرْضُه مُعَزٌّ
والمال من دونه مُهان
Honor his, might and riches pose
Without him abject and lows
ليس لأموالهِ لديه
حَقٌّ ولا حُرْمةٌ تُصان
To his wealth he stakes no claim
Nor can it reverence acclaim
لِكُلِّ عَيْنٍ رأتْهُ يوماً
من رَيْبِ أزمانها الأمان
From life's woes is secured each eye
That saw him once passing by
بذاك في وجهه ضَمِينٌ
يُقْبَلُ من مِثله الضمان
By it confidence in him impressed
From the likes of him it wrested
حياته ما أقام فينا
فضْلٌ من اللَّهِ وامتنان
His life with us favor divine
And gift of boons a sign
نهارنا الدهرَ منه طَلْقٌ
وليلنا منه إضْحِيان
Our days by him glide gentle tides
Our nights by him grace abides
فلا يزل في نَعِيم عيْشٍ
مِزاجُه الخفضُ واللّيان
Evermore in joy he bides
Gentle and serene resides
حتى يرى فيه كل سؤلٍ
ومُنْيةٍ عبدُه بُنان
Till all hopes and wishes deceased
Find life with him increased
