1. لم يَبْرِنا تركُك العيادة بال

    أمس ولو كنتَ عُدت لم تَرِشِ

    Your absence from my bedside brought me no harm last night,

    And had you returned, you would not have cured me.

  2. لستَ الذي من تَعُده يُشْفَ من ال

    سُقم ومن لم تَعُده لم يَعِشِ

    You are not the one whose return brings healing from illness,

    And whose absence causes death.

  3. للَه ما أنت لو عتبتَ ولم

    تحقد كما إذ عتبتَ لم تَطشِ

    By God, you are not the one, if you were to blame me or bear me a grudge,

    As when you blamed me, you did not tyrannize.
