With a cup that satisfies the palms of the pure
A wilderness that heals the pain of the distressed
It fell upon a pillar like al-Fazah
The sincerity of the channel, the remover of sorrows
It shakes like an angry hissing snake
It diminishes like the trembling letter 'alif'
When the veil covers it
Like the teeth of an old shaky flask
I drove it into the thigh of the baker
So it poured into her lap a Hijazi
And let through them a bridge
