يا أيها الجائر في سيرِهِ

قصْداً فقصدُ السير من خيرِهِ

O you who are unjust in your conduct

Intentionally, so the conduct is far from good

لعمرُ من عَرّض لي عِرْضهُ

ما زَجر الميمونُ من طيرِهِ

By the life of one who has offered me his companionship

The auspicious bird is not deterred from its flock

بنتُك يا خالد فيما يُرى

هي ابنة الشوكي لا غيرِهِ

Your daughter, O Khaled, as it appears

Is the daughter of Ash-Shawki, no one else

فإن يكن بينكما شركة

فإنها لا شك من أيرِهِ

If there is partnership between you

Then no doubt she is from her father
