لكم حجابٌ ولنا أنفُسٌ

تمنعُنا الذلَّ عزيزاتُ

You have veils, and we have souls

That keep us from disgrace, O glorious ladies.

تاهَ وتهنا فسَمَونا بها

وهْي عنِ الذلِّ مصوناتُ

Lost and degraded we may be, yet we are exalted by them,

For they are protected from dishonor.
