I wear my dream when I dress in it
So you see me with stilled pulse
As though my palms were bound
From the motions of extending and grasping
Fearing for a softness worn by time
So part of it weeps over part
I walk politely while it screams
Complaining and apologizing for running
Oh I am a hanging rope for it
I furnish it with obligation and loan
How long will you be afflicted
By chains, neither living nor deciding
I have become from your raising me like one
Who hopes for the foam of water in churning
