A besmirched poet, labelled with his own besmirchment

He who labelled him found him small, thus made him smaller

When the orations of blame are difficult to articulate

Say of him what's in him, it won't make it more difficult

It's easy for his blamer to know the reason of his blame

And the hardest of his blame is to make it easy

That's because God covered his mention

And gave him plenty of the garments of shame

And how many others like him have I clothed

With a new embroidered gown with two lengths

So he came to be seen by eyes as glorious

Alas, an evil garb for the arrogant and boastful

Every blaming hand points to him

As did the hands of pilgrims point to Jamrat
