O you who became, between hope and compassion

Mine and mine who thought he would remain

As for the intimacy of elders in your presence

Glasses compete with Makhari Issac's incense

But no, if your destiny willed

With musk and delicate asceticism, your piety protected

Thanks to God, I am not called to your hunt

Unless it were prey like a cooing dove

I remain called to help a confused one

On abhorrence, not a distracted lover's joy

Is there a way to renew your affection?

Can anything be renewed after creation?

    No doubt, rods may bloom

As nakedness changes after being clothed

O face of generous nature whose smile

Only radiates like the rising sun

I complain to God of an injustice that has no relief

I still receive from Him the worst livelihoods

Upon me without shade or leaves

My Master's dimmed sky poured down
