O mourner of the son of Allah's Messenger among mankind

And announcer of his name among nomads and settled folk

You have mourned a man at whose death

The pillars of religion and world were endangered

Except through him, and through him it progressed to the grave

You have uttered the greatest of the great

Had it escorted him the length of his life

O Prophet’s sons, does not a tyrant cease

Leaving you as islands upon islands?

How much blood of the Prophet you have shed

You have amongst you one best informed

Or if fate ordained against us regarding him, you remain

    Vilified, defamed, upon defamation

He still strikes you with the sword for honor

Until you submit with humiliation and smallness
