أهنأُ العرفِ ما أتى من خليلٍ

يحسبُ القرضَ للأخلاءِ فرضا

I praise the custom which came from a friend,

Who counts a loan to friends as a duty,

أحملُ الأمر وهو عبءٌ ثقيلٌ

للأخلاءِ حملَ بعضيَ بعضا

I bear the matter though it's a heavy burden,

For friends, some carry the burden of others.
